Feather Falls Hike

DIFFICULTY: Moderately strenuous

 

ELEVATION GAIN: 1100 feet--highest point about 2400 ft.

 

HIKE DISTANCE: 8 mile loop

 

GENERAL LOCATION: Northeast of the town of Oroville in the Plumas National Forest

 

DESCRIPTION: Come see the sixth highest waterfall in the United States. Feather Falls cascades over 640 feet to the canyon below!

The lovely hike through the forest reaches a safe wooden overlook where we will enjoy the view of the falls and canyon while eating lunch.

 

TRAVEL TIME/DISTANCE: Two hours each way and about 80 miles each way. (Passengers should expect to reimburse the driver $12 for this drive.)

Return time about 5:30 to 6:00 pm.
